Hiland's Big Sky Mineral - 25 lb Bag

I've been using Big Sky for a couple years now and i can't say enough about this product. It brought my old horses to a new life and helped my young ones stay young. Their coats transformed within 30 days of using the product. My appaloosa's spots are bigger and brighter than ever. Do your horse a favor and get them this product.

I believe in offering free choice minerals to my horses. I happen to have Shires. They don't eat the huge meals that some horses do so in order to be sure their mineral intake is sufficient, they get Big Sky Minerals from a large bucket. I hang it in the run in shed. I also feed a separate salt block as this is not meant to be a salt supplement. Great product and horses love it.

Since feeding this supplement the horses have taken on a better hair quality (after-shampoo like shine)and hoof quality. I trim the feet for barefoot riding and the hooves develop a better hoof quality in conjunction with this product (we live in the Sonoran desert of Arizona). The horses appear healthier overall. This is the second bag of minerals for my 4 horses. So far I've been so happy with the results, the fast handling/shipping and the fact I can get a quality product shipped to my door! I had one mare with extremely hard heats and a weepy eye. Since starting the minerals a few months ago her eye stopped weeping and her heats are amazingly mild. One of my geldings has terrible feet and we've had a barefoot trimmer working on him for a year to readjust the damage done by other farriers. His feet are growing nicely and the new growth is hard and healthy. He is no longer walking like he's walking on glass. The other gelding and mare just look awesome. No bloated bellies, shiny coats and a great weight even though they are on unlimited hay/pasture with no grain. All four started blowing their coats when we started the minerals and it was still close to zero degrees here in very Northern New York. I can't say enough good about these minerals. I began using this product on my hunt horses, who always are very tucked up and fit at the end of the season, which takes about two months to get them back. Using these minerals has helped them keep weight on by being able to process the feed better. I have now switched over to a whole food and these minerals are a major part of the feeding program. I have one horse that comes off the acupuncture points for ulsers, and after putting her on the minerals she is no longer coming off the points. I have a non sweater, hard keeper and he is maintaining his weight so much better. I have a weanling that is a good hand bigger than another weanling her age and she too has been on the minerals since she was born. All in all this product has made all my horses happier and healthier. I couldn't be more pleased.

My horses love it, and they've never been so healthy looking. Their coats shine even in winter, and their hooves are strong and healthy enough to go barefoot. They eat it like it's candy, and never leave a drop and I have some picky eaters.

My horses have only been on Big sky minerals for a month but I can already see improved toplines, shinier coats, and hooves are growing faster and the new hoof growth looks great I cant wait to see how they are after many months and years, not to mention they absolutely love this stuff thanks

I have been extremely satisfied with Big Sky minerals. I have a severely foundered horse with lyme disease that I am trying to rehabilitate and was looking for a product that I could offer free choice as a supplement. Having watched this 15 year old mare grab mouthfuls of mud and eat it like peanut butter just weeks after I rescued her, I knew there was something definitely missing in her diet. From the first time I put out Big Sky minerals in the run-in, it has been a favorite with both my mares. I also offer an additional mineral supplement, a mineral salt block, a selenium salt block, kelp and whole flax seed as choices and the 1-2 cups of Big Sky I put out every day is always favored.

We have 3 horses we rescued almost 2 years ago. When we got them they were in poor shape. It took some time to put weight back on them but still they were not very pretty. Because of poor nutrition their hooves and coats were terrible. We found Blue Sky Minerals and WOW is all I can say. Our horses are not only visibly better but they are also physically better.
